Workers' Compensation & Physical Restrictions

Topic: Workers' Compensation
At various times throughout a Colorado workers' compensation claim, a doctor will assign an injured worker with physical restrictions. These restrictions are given to prevent further injury and to protect the person from potentially harmful activities. Physical restrictions must be followed at all times, including when the injured party is away from work. Insurance companies often hire private investigators to conduct surveillance on the person that is injured in an effort to catch them participating in activities outside of his or her work restrictions. Therefore, if you are given restrictions by your doctor, it is important that you follow them, it's for your own good.
